Each year the City of Melbourne supports and celebrates its overwhelmingly creative and talented community through its annual arts grants program.
Grants of up to $20,000 are available to artists, creatives and arts organisations across all disciplines – including performance, new media, music, dance, theatre and visual art.
Arts grants are available in the following categories:
– Arts projects
– Aboriginal arts projects
– Arts residencies
Our grants and residencies are available to artists across Australia – but the outcome must be activated within the City of Melbourne municipality.
First-time applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
2019 Annual Arts Grants
If you’re considering creating an artwork in any discipline for delivery in 2019, apply for an arts grant. The funding round opens on 30 April 2018 and closes on 28 May 2018.
The City of Melbourne (COM) and Multicultural Arts Victoria (MAV) invite you to a special information session with Arts Melbourne staff to find out about the City of Melbourne’s 2019 Annual Arts Grants Program. This is a great opportunity to find out more about funding available, to get to know the staff and ask questions.
Wednesday 9 May, 3pm & 6pm
Theatrette, South Melbourne Town Hall
Ground Floor, 208-220 Bank Street, South Melbourne
To prepare yourself for the session, please view the Program Guidelines.
